Re: Male or female?

Ohh ok.
If we are talking about Syrian hamsters...
In my own experience males are tamer than females.
However, I've had more females than males, as long as you take the time to tame it, it probably wouldn't make much of a difference in the end.
I've had many really nasty females, but I managed to tame them all, though one was a real softy compared to the others.

Re: Male or female?

Well it's up to you really.
I like males, all the males I've ever bought have been quite tame to start off with, but females haven't. Though I have had the odd female which has been tame from the start as well. But there is no guarantee that you will buy a male that will be pretty tame, but he may be easier to tame.

Re: Male or female?

I have never had a male syrian, but downstairs in our hamster room, we have 2 syrians I think. One female, one Male, and I think they are both as lovely as each other. I don't think it really makes a difference in hamsters.

My female was a little bit nowty, but once she was home within 2 weeks she was lovely!
