Ideal run size.

What would people recommend for a trio of guinea pigs? I have a neutered boar and 2 sows.

Ive never used a run before, as my old lot had a "paddock", but ive built a pond in there now and of course cant risk the new guys drowning.

They have a 4ft by 4ft one right now, but thats far too small.

Re: Ideal run size.

could you extend the run youve got to 6x4 or 8x4, that should be large enough for three i think.

I was thinking that. Maybe another 4x4.

Wasnt sure if that would be enough. Ive never owned a run in my life

Ask them in the rabbit section too... I'm sure they'll know

Re: Ideal run size.

when i was a kid we kept a couple of guinea pigs and i think the run was about 6x4ish which i thought was large enough at the time so i should think double would be plenty enough for three. i always hate getting rid of runs etc because they seem small and then forking out for another so id just add to the one youve got as long as its still worth using.
