This forum is a horrid influence!!

I started out wanting the Hamster Heaven metro cage, then a Chinese hamster(I'm getting a Russian instead) and I found the most useful pictures/information here... ever since joining (1-2 weeks ago) I now want a Russian hamster, a Robo.. which is odd to me as I always thought they are mean and ugly(no offense ) and now I'm in love..hah, a dwarf rabbit, more rats, a new kitten, and a new puppy!

So can anyone tell me how to convince my mom(I'm 16.. but responsible!) to at least get the hamsters and the dwarf bunny? and can you also recommend the best cages for the robo & bunny?(I live in the US but FINALLY found a resonable website that ships to the US! =) so UK cages work too!

Sorry this was so long
but I though I would just let you all know how much of a bad influence this website is!

So please try not to post tons of pictures! I think I'm growing an unstable addiction..

rabbits are aslways wayyyy better in neutered male-female pairs, as in the wild they would live in groups so in my opinion yes they would get depressed and lonely on their own. in the pet shop i work in we only sell ouor rabbits and guinea pigs in pairs (rabbits are neutered before they go to the new homes)

Do they do fop cages in the US? I have just ordered a lovely cage called a Fop Cricetto Ted (I Think) its bigger than the Hamster Heaven

I would reccomend posting your rabbit questions on the rabbit section (they know everything about bunnys)

As for persuading your mum, you need to cry and stamp your feet as that seems to work with my kidslol.

Re: This forum is a horrid influence!!

LOL you have only been here 2 weeks and you realise its a bad influence! I started out with 3 dwarfs, I now have had 5 dwarfs, had a syrian till this week, and 2 rats!

What I would do is show your mum that you are responsible enough for your own pet. If it means doing extra stuff round the house and being really nice, you should get your own way. If that doesn't work, stamp your feet, throw a hissy fit and don't speak to your mum until you get what you want always worked for me!!!
