Re: rodents and rentals.

They are beautiful dogs and sooo intelligent. We used to have a rescue one and she was a wonderful dog, fantastic with kids and everything.

Re: rodents and rentals.

We are living in a council flat and in our contract it states we are not allowed cats or dogs but anything "caged" is fine.
I was talking to our caretaker the other day, knowing that there are cats in this block of flats, he said to me they don't mind about us having cats.
Go figure.

Re: rodents and rentals.

My contract is no pets without landlords written permission, but they don't do inspections so as long as I keep the smell down, they don't know :P Suits me fine

Peace

Re: rodents and rentals.

My landlord is great. He has like 15 pets himself so he doesn't mind us having pets as long as they are well behaved and don't make too much of a mess. Of course he might object if we came in with 50 animals or something.

Re: rodents and rentals.

im just about to rent my house out and i dont mind pets. at the end of the day thats what my bond if for plus if they break it they replace it lol

iv got to patch up holes mind before moving anyone in as my labrador decided he liked the taste of plaster board so we have holes in out kitchen.

i dont care what people have in there as long as it smells nice and they dont reck everything. and they leave it the same way they found it. iv taken pictures of before so they cant deny doing anything to my house.

Re: rodents and rentals.

when i was living in student houses the small animals were never a problem. iv now moved to another property and when i moved in i was told i was allowed my rabbit outside and the two bearded dragons inside but no live food. Unfortunatle the rabbit i had died and and i now have two, i rescued two gerbils, one of which died 2 days ago and yesterday i went out and brought a hamster (couldnt resist his little face). we have inspections every three months and ours was yesterday so i moved the surviving gerbil and one of the rabbits to my mothers for an hour and hid the live food in a cupboard.

When i went to pick them up for my moms i needed to nip in the pet shop for some bedding and i wanted to get the bunnies a new toy thats when i got the hamster. what a great way to celebrate passing inspection!!

they shouldnt have a problem with any small furries but if they say no just take them anyway. they have to tell you when they are coming to see the property anyway so it gives you time to hide the evidence.

Re: rodents and rentals.

hmm thats just it I'm worried about hiding them because their cages are so huge it's a bit harder. I also don't have any family who would let me keep them at theirs for a while because they all hate animals.
I will have 4 cages when I move I hope. I think I'm ebaying all my rotastak stuff, I need to ebay my wii too as we want to pay the card off (in debt). I have so many hamster cages laying around I could probably make £80 off them.
I am deffinatly going to have an ebay week so that I post them after exams.

It's soooo nice outside!!! Is anyone enjoying it with their animals??
