Honey loves her new home.

Here are a few photos' of Honey in her new hamster heaven cage.

Going to order her some new toys from Ukpets to stop her getting bored of the same ones.

Re: Honey loves her new home.

You've got it set up differently to me, I put the tube into the penthouse bit but I couldn't work out what the 2nd ladder was for.

Re: Honey loves her new home.

Mine is set up pretty much the same way and Thea is loving it now she has a bit more courage to go explore. Now to persuade her not to hide when we go near it so I can get pictures.

Re: Honey loves her new home.

Right I've set up the cage with the ladder going up to the penthouse, Buffy can get up into the penthouse more easily now but I was wondering if Honey struggles to get up the vertical tube.

Re: Honey loves her new home.

My o.h set it up - it is meant to be the way you have it I think. Yes the tubes seem to have a very sharp bend don't they and I'm not sure whether she can get through it or not to be honest - I haven't seen her in the tube at all although I know she must have been in the playhouse at the top because she has left some food in there. She loves that hamster potty and uses it too.

Where do you get the gritty stuff from to put in the potty though does anybody know?

You need to get chinchilla bathing sand not chinchilla dusting powder (too fine) the one I get is in a plastic bottle like a 4L milk bottle its called charlie chinchilla.

Oh I know what you mean - I had some of the Charlie Chinchilla stuff in a bottle for my two Russians to roll about in. Would that be okay for the potty do you think?

Re: Honey loves her new home.

Honey is using the long tube now - she's gone up there and fallen asleep. I wondered if she had got stuck but she came down for something to eat and then went back up there and went to sleep again.
