Guinea breeds?
My daughter has got a baby guinea pig for easter and just wondered if anyone had any clue as to what breed she is. She could well be a cross breed, I don't know. The pics are the only ones I have at the minute, she has curly whiskers if that helps??
  I have just realized that they are rubbish pics! I will get better ones tomorrow. She has quite wirey fur and curly whiskers as I have mentioned. It would just be nice to know a little more about Penny Pig.

Could be an Abyssinian??? Not a guinea pig expert though. Maybe crossed with something else too.
Here's a page with some breeds of cavy, though there are other newer breeds yet to be recognised. Abyssinian seems likely from your description and photos. They do come in various colours. http://www.acbaonline.com/breeds.html

My OH is pretty s/he is an Agouti Rex....but then he says he hasn't had guineas since he was a kid, so don't take that as gospel

Well it's not an agouti - it's a tortie, and a female unless it's one of those males with unusual chromosomes like XXY or something - torties with normal chromosomes are always female!

Looks like a cute Abbysinian to me too! However my Peruvian looked like an Abbysinian when we got him too
