Re: 4 day old guinea pig help please
i have been advised that this is probably the protective film that is over there eyes and that it should clear in a few days.
i will continue to bathe the gunky eye without panicking lol if it dont clear i will take him to the vets for them to have a look and see what they think. |

Re: 4 day old guinea pig help please
I was always under the impression that they were born as miniture of there parents and there eyes were open to. Are you sure it hasnt a eye infection. I hope all goes ok and it gets better very soon. Is it the cornea thats cloudy or the whole eye area.

Re: 4 day old guinea pig help please
i am very relieved i really did get a fright!!!
after looking at him again its like a thin film of sleep over the eye and it looks like it moves when he blinks so im not as worried anymore. no i dont think its an infection as ive now spoken to 3 guinea breeders and all say the same thing that the eye protector can sometimes make the eye sticky and im to bathe it 3 times a day and it will clear. soooooooooo pleased i didnt have to make a hard decission |
