Help with colour

This is my 4 week old rat, we no she is a Black Dumbo Rex as described by the breeder.

I have a litter of babies that are 8 days old. Both parents are dumbo agouti's so i was wondering what colour/type everyone thought this little one will turn out to be.

Weavell!! very cute! I am coming round to the idea of getting a couple or rats...the smaller ones tho, not the dumbo rats.

Re: Help with colour

If rat colours are the same as mice ( never breed rats)

Then the rat baby looks like either a bad vari, a broken or a tri cause its body looks black and white while the head looks agouti.

But I dont know I am not a rat expert ^_^

Re: Help with colour

Dumbo is a term for their ears. I have been told today that the jellybean is a cap stripe. We hav another one similar to that but i think that one is going to be grey as it is much lighter.

Re: Help with colour

They could turn out darker but generally tend to get a bit lighter as their baby fur grows. My topaz babies looked really dark to start with, then faded quite alot.
