Most mice cages are too small, I bought a three level hamster cage and covered the bars in wire mesh and they love it, its a bit of a pain to do though.

Perhaps a fish tank would be better...I will have a look for you!

Last week, I got a 4ft fish tank for 99p. I have put Chesnie in it and she LOVES it...she has never had so much space...hoping to get some branches and stuff to put in it!!

Re: Hamster Bargains

It's so tempting to buy more cages but I really don't need them. My 2 custom made ones are meant to be getting made sometime tomorrow. I might want to upgrade my gerbil home eventually and sell my rotastak though. I'll see how it goes because I'd have to get something bigger then what they have and at the moment they have a tank and 3 floors. (4 circle rotastaks and 1 cosmo pod on top). But I don't want to get too many because I'll be moving after I finish university and I don't want to ship all of them.

That's one of the best bargains i've ever heard of! Well done on that one

my dad once got an electric fire for 1p, and when he went to pick it up, they told him just to take it LOL I think he gave them a fiver though, he felt bad not giving them anything!

Then when he was fiddling around with it later on in the evening, he put his hand inside the back of it and it electrocuted him, he actually went flying across the dining room LOL but you get what you pay for I suppose

Thats so annoying, whenever I send a message on freecycle to ask if I can have something thats offered I get the same response "sorry, its already gone".The one time I was in luck was for a toddler slide which I wanted for a toddler group and when I got it home it was dangerous and I had to take it to the tip. I'm gonna get all paranoid soon.
