chinese dwarf hamsters
Hi I am new to this site and have a query,,, my daughter has two chinese dwarf hamster's (female) and whilst cleaning out their cage this morning I noticed one of their tales was really red and looks quite sore,,, any help or opinions on what could be wrong would be greatly appreciated.

No it doesn't look like there is an injury or wound, the whole tail just looks red and sore, one of them is really friendly and can be handled (the one with the sore tail) and the other bites when u hold it so I am wondering if they have been fighting during the night.

Keep a close eye on her.
Chinese hamsters actualy do better on their own in most cases, despite what pet shops say. It might possibly be mites, i would go to your vet to be sure Xx
