Female Rat wanted to befriend recently bereaved and lonely rat

Hi

I am currently looking for a female rat, as my other female unfortunately had to be put down last week. Now poor little Storm (a beautiful, terribly intelligent and super speedy British Grey Dmbo) is alone and is being very mopey, lonely and depressed. I can't seem to find any females around at the moment - does anyone know of any in the west midlands area?

Thanks in advance, Lauren

Re: Female Rat wanted to befriend recently bereaved and lonely rat

Have you checked your local rescue centres? they may have abandoned ratties dotting about.

You could also try introducing younger rats (2 rather than just another 1) to your older rat, you may find she responds better to younger (smaller) rats who won't challenge her dominance, and if they're young enough will probably mother them, which is amazingly cute to see.

Also means one won't be left alone when storm dies a ripe old age.
