Re: ear infection

Our crumps had tilt about 4 months ago, she was very bad with it, but got sorted out, was still wonky for a while, we've only just noticed last week that she no longer has a wonky head!

She got about alright with a wonky head and even when she was bad with tilt she managed to climb about the cage... odd rat, so i'm sure your smudge will be fine, let us know how she gets on!

Re: ear infection

I've got two rats with head tilt. Both developed symptoms months ago and have been treated with Baytril. The vet's given them the all clear but they're still wonky and Saffron still falls out of hammocks and off of things. The other rats don't seem to mind although I have two seperate groups with one tilted rat in each and they can't mix as the rats from the other groups pick on the stranger. Hope your Smudge gets well soon (my eldest boy rat is called Smudge )

Re: ear infection

Smudge is being treated for ear infection... baytril... she is fine in herself climbing as usual.theres lots of hammocks in the cage so if she does have a fall it not very far.I took one of the other girls just to keep her company, they were a big hit, the vet loved them both.and commented on how good a pet rats make.
