Unhappy Another vet visit

Rommel has a nasty abcess on his groin, it burst today and he was showing signs of being in pain so I made a vets appointment, after an hour sat in the waiting room I finally went through and she was pretty worried about him. So I have to give him metacam and baytril and take him back on wednesday to "make a decision" shes already said with the way his lungs are and with his age that an operation isnt and option . So healing thoughts for the big guy would be very welcome please. The idiot in the waiting room needs to learn to wisper too, very nice to be stood there really worried about your pet and hear him whisper very loudly "who pays £40 for a rat, a bucket of water would be cheaper"

healing vibes sent your way, stupid people youd think someone that owned a pet would understand how terrible it is when they fall ill no matter if there a dog, cat, rat or rabbit.

I think he was hoping I would cause a scene but to be honest I was still reeling from the fact that Rommel might not get over this so I didnt have it in me to react to him, his dog was a total nightmare peeing everywhere and growling at every other dog so it could learn something from my well behaved rats..

Re: Another vet visit

The metacam is kicking in and hes nomming on his favourite banana, they can have some nice warm soup for supper and I think he might have started to forgive me for taking him out in the cold, squirting nasty stuff in his mouth and wetting his poorly bit with salty water, Im such a mean mummy

Re: Another vet visit

I hope that he gets better hun. And don't worry about the numpty in the waiting room. People like that aren't worth wasting your breath over and they seem to feed off making other people upset. I hope that you are spoiling Rommel with malt paste and biccies to make up for being out in the cold Give him a big hug and a scritch from me
