Willow has a lump

I took Willow out to play tonight and noticed she had a lump about the size of a 1 pence coin on her left side, sort of between her arm and diaphragm area.
I didn't play with the hams last night as my own bump was sore but the lump wasn't there on Wednesday night. It moves freely and doesn't seem to cause her any pain as she doesn't mind me touching it. From what I can see of the skin under all her fluff it looks healthy. Shes eating, drinking and pooing fine. No change in behaviour.
Im going to book an appointment at the vets tomorrow but I just wondered if anyone could shed any light on this.

Re: Willow has a lump

Could be a mammary tumour or something to do with her scent glands (do female hamsters have them there too?)

Re: Willow has a lump

I haven't got any advice, but I hope it's nothing serious! Good luck at the vets tomorrow.

Re: Willow has a lump

Thanks everyone, Iv been away this weekend so Im booking her an appointment tomorrow but she seems perfectly healthy apart from this little lump. Its further up her body than her scent glade so I though maybe it was an impacted pouch but she let me have a look and theres nothing wrong with her pouches.

Re: Willow has a lump

Hi everyone just to let you know Willow has a fat lump or a swollen lymph gland which should go down in time. The vet said to keep an eye on it and if it gets any bigger they could take a sample of it but because it moves freely and its small they said just to watch her for now.
