Can I ask do your ratties pull the paper up and shred it?
I used to use it but they'd pull it up so now I just use it to line the base then add substrate on top.

Yes, they do I use shredded cardboard & shredded paper substrate usually, although it makes quite a mess where they poke bits through onto the floor, but my OH decided to be 'helpful' & put the 3 black binbags full of substrate on the bonfire just before Christmas

Awww how gorgeous do they look . Pepper has grown so much and Peach is looking so lovely too! Why is it my nakeds always seem to have scrathes over them and sometimes look well a bit rough Peach looks all dainty and delicate and your other 2 girlies look beautiful too
