Any degu breeders around yorkshire? Thanks.

Hi, last week one of my 3 year old male degus died due to a possible stroke leaving his brother (Crash) on his own. I am looking for a baby male degu to introduce to Crash. Or maybe a pair of male degu pups. Does anyone know where to find them? I need them less than 8 weeks when they are being introduced to Crash. So i will need to get them as young as possible.

Any details of any breeders would be much appriciated.

Many thanks
Ryan

You would probably be better of getting a pair of pups, otherwise you will be in the same position again when your older 1 runs to the bridge.

I can't help with breeders but some rescues could have degus in. You might not find as many with pups but you might find singles or groups of degu with a similar age range to yours, which is still possible to bond if you do it the right way.

Sorry to hear about your little fluff.

ok. Thanks, I have been thinking about getting a degu of the same age as Crash, but it seemed that they are likely to fight. And having pups introduced will hopefully form a bond between Crash and the new pups, causing less fights. Thats the plan anyway :P
