Fresh food advice for gerbils

Hi,

I give my gerbils a bit of fresh carrot sometimes, but was wondering what other fresh foods is it safe to give them?

Mine love cabbage, peas and broccoli. They wont touch any other veg or fruit.
They also like cooked pasta, mealworms, chicken and baby food as a very rare treat.

I think they love it, they're getting braver each day. They took some food from my hand yesterday and today. I stuck my hand in before and they were sniffing it. I kept moving my fingers slowly so they wouldn't bite me, but they didn't try to. They're still a bit jumpy but still getting used to me. I'll post photos soon - promise!
