Degu cages

Other than John Hopewell does anyone know anywhere else to buy a Degu cage? Have 2 girls & think it's time I better start looking for a new cage, they in thickets just now & prob should get them something bigger before outgrow it.
Ps their noisy wheel has been doing my head in lately haha

Re: Degu cages

Is there any reason you dont want to buy john hopewell? I got mine from there and i love it, the deep tray means 80% less pieces of poop and bedding get kicked out Although i know they arent cheap, i got a tax rebate which is when i bought mine. I would suggest looking up chinchilla cages on google, searching ebay and equine canine feline is a good website.

Re: Degu cages

Its not that I wouldnt buy john hopewell just wondered if any other options available. I had a quick look at lunch & wasnt sure if they were size required but I had heard he doesnt sell anything thats not a suitable size for goos.
Can is your cage sturdy? The thickets one is really flimsy & I think thats why metal wheel makes so much noise because its cracked some of bars

Re: Degu cages

Ahh ok, mines definatly sturdy (and heavy too). Theres still a slight noise from the wheel but i dont think any wheel is actually silent. My goos are in my room and the noise dosnt bother me I did have to wait about 3 weeks for it to made too as he gets quite alot of orders. I thinks theres a degu cage calculator on degutopia if thats any help to you so you can get and idea of how many goos can live in his cages.

Re: Degu cages

Glad to hear its sturdy might need to get measuring tape out tomorrow & see what I could fit in. I don't mind waiting since its for the best & gives me chance to try get overtime shift in lol.
Their metal wheel is nightmare it makes this rattling & clicky noise think. I keep trying to tighten bolt but must keep lossening. Think I might need to contact seller about it.
Thanks for help
