Guinea Pig Cages

Hello , we seem to be having a damp problem in the garage (my guinea pigs have half the garage to live in) so its pretty much inhabitable at the moment , bubble and squeak have gone back to live with their real owner and my two are currently in a borrowed cage but its tiny

How big is a decent size for 2 female piggies? Looking on ebay at the moment and there is some even smaller cages on there

Thank you!

Re: Guinea Pig Cages

most of the cages in the shops are just 2 small. I bought a puppy pen and got some cheap lino to put under the fleece. It's about 25sq foot. Have you looked at C&C cages? Their quite good and some people have amazing setups. Not too sure what the minimum size is, but the largest you can fit in the space you have is best.

Re: Guinea Pig Cages

you really need at least a 4ft cage if not bigger and daily run around time or by a trixie run and put blankets on the floor or just a spare room

Re: Guinea Pig Cages

The minimum should be about 120cm long.

I can recommend these. I've bought these in the past however when my gps departed I gave mine to my local rescue. Zooplus are really good with their delivery times too, only took 2 or 3 days to get mine after ordering. x

Re: Guinea Pig Cages

Just to add I hate ZooPlus they dont sell a single hutch suitable for a rabbit and when I have contacted them about this they couldnt give a monkeys. They wont be getting a penny out of me. Check out ebay they have a lot of cages going for silly prices.

Re: Guinea Pig Cages

Thanks guys , my bedroom is really small so I didn't think C&C cages were best?

Thanks for that link they aren't too expensive

At the moment I've got the lid off so they can free range round my bedroom but this isn't really a long term option(although they will get daily free range time)

Thanks!
