Re: dying hamster :(
I'm afraid I dont know much about hamsters, though 3 1/2 I imagine is a good age for him to have reached. It's a very hard decision to make (I had to do it myself today, for one of my rats), especially as prey species they can be good at hiding any pain they feel. If he's eating & drinking & is still able to do most of the things that hamsters do with enjoyment then it may not be time yet. ((((hugs))))

Re: dying hamster :(
What is he dying from? If it's something that could potentially cause pain (e.g tumours) then I would take him to be PTS.

Re: dying hamster :(
He might or might not, sometimes they're good at hiding pain, if this has come on this quickly I would take him to the vet, ultimately it will be your decision but if he's as bad as he sounds I think it may be kinder for him to be PTS

Re: dying hamster :(
Not always. Hamsters a prey animals and will do everything they can to hide signs of pain. I think you should take his to a vet so see what they think. He might have some kind of infection that's making him feel poorly.
