Scabby, itchy, hair loss
Hi everyone,
I have several pet mice, each in his own cage. Although I have had them all for almost a year now, one of them has developed scabs on his skin and is loosing his fur. He still eats well and seems generally content aside from scratching a lot.
Most online forums seem to suggest that it may be mites, and I will treat him for that, but since none of the other mice have this condition, I am not convinced that it is mites.
If anyone could suggest a remedy I would be ever grateful.
I was also wondering if there is something I can rub directly onto his skin to sooth his itch. I read something about garlic oil (to put it in his food and on his skin), but I was under the impression that garlic is bad for mice. If anyone could shed light on this too, I will be forever in your debt.
Thanks
