Jarhead is on a distinguished road
Duke is bossy help please

As you probably know got 3 baby boy degus 2 month old to keep Jarhead company as he was sad. We put the cages near each other and they were eager to see each other. They all came runnng when Jarhead calls. Hes like a rockstar. Jarhead watches them and is a lot even ehen they are in bed but isnt too hyper, sensible uncle Jarhead. No aggression so far.

However we are now at the stage letting jarhead run in neutral teritory with them in the cage. First time no aggression only a few squeeks from them as they jostle for position. Duke who seemed to be the dominent male of the newbys. He wins the fights and was out first, Silver is nosy and Cubin is shy. Anyway Duke squeeks and pushes the others to get to Jarhead. Only gentle though. Also he started making aggression noices then Silver started to. Jarhead who had been nuzleing Cubin did not know what to do and just watched. We picked the cage up and they carmed down. Then it happened again. Jarhead now goes round the cage never stopping long at any point but still interested. I think thats caution.

We think its cause Duke was the boss of the brothers and is wants to show still important. Jarhead is not mean back as he is the friendly not bossy type but is the oldest.

Tips please
