Re: thread following on from mr rat

He don't finish till 4.30 so got a while yet.
Picking up a rat cage at 5pm suitable for both boys to be housed in.
Ordered some hammocks etc, thing is when remy and emile died I got rid of all my rat things as I said I'd never have anymore
I had a lovely furet cage loads a hammocks tubes shelves ladders pouches houses toys ropes now I got to start over again.
Even though I have my pouched rat she is nothing like fancy rats and I missed not having them in my life.

Re: thread following on from mr rat

Well they've been in the small cage together now since 10.30am today and there still in there together now.
No squabbles,fights,hoofing not a thing.
They have been snoozing together and washing each others faces.
I'm not going to part them now will be transferring them into a new cage in a bit. Hubby will rat sit tonite while I'm at work. They can go upstairs in our bedroom.
Maybe they are so happy just to have each other now.

Re: thread following on from mr rat

So glad it went well and so quick. It took weeks withh 117 and Jarhead. We put he cages together more each day. Then we let117 out in neutral space the hallway with Jarhead in the little cage so we could lift him if sight of trouble.

Each stage took just over a week but when they ran together it didnttake lonk till they went to bed in the same cage. We watched it all day.

Re: thread following on from mr rat

They are gorgeous wee ratties! Hope they continue to get on well - I took on 2 fosters (that I've since adopted) on June 14th and I was told they were both friendly...well, one is and the other is, very sweet but has a taste for fingers! I had terrible issues over the past few weeks but finally we've cracked it - thank goodness, don't think my poor hands could have taken much more!

Hope your beautiful boys continue to work out well

Re: thread following on from mr rat

Only cause we are causious and we were introducing a teeneager to a teritorial pentioner. Things seem easier now adding pups to a young adult tearaway.

Keep you informed. Your rats are cute glad its working.
