Dominance

Hey, my two boy pigs look like they have been having tiff's over dominance. No real fighting, but they where when they where in their carrier together. I am planning on getting them a bigger one, it's just a small cat carrier they are in right now (when they go to the vet). The vet is an hour away and I know that is rather close quarters and could have caused some damage. But should I be worried or just let them have there little squabbles.

Re: Dominance

Just let them work it out, but keep a close eye, if it gets really nasty and any blood is drawn then these two boys cannot live together as one may seriously hurt the other or even kill :'(

Sounds like you may have two dominent piggies there, I hope they work it out! How old are they?

Re: Dominance

They are 3 months 2 weeks and 6 days old. They are brothers and one was a runt. Jake was top pig when I first got them, but Elwood is looking like he is trying to show he is somepig. Jake looks like he is still more dominant and they are usually fine in their cage, unless they both want to eat the same thing. I they have two food dishes and a very large hay rack. Think I should get another water bottle too?
