RIP Badger

Badger was our syberian hamster. She was grey with a badgers marking head, hence the name badger! She was over 3 years old so had a very good life. She passed away yesterday bless her. Alfie and Rob buried her in the garden.......then went to get another one! This time they got a rescue from pets at home. Aparently this little roborovski hamster called pickle was too fast to be left with the others in a normal cage.....and boy is he fast!! A little nutter bless him. I will take photos later.

Re: RIP Badger

Sorry for the loss of little Badger.

Welcome to your new addition though
Pets@home seperated him because he was too fast to be left with the others....what a stupid reason, they really have no idea about the animals they sell.

Errrm no! They were right to do so tbh hun! Every time we try to get him out he jumps out of our hands and is so fast its hard to catch heim again! So if they have to keep going into the cage to get others out and have him run away it would be quite difficult for them. But it does mean we didnt have to pay full wack and gave a donation of £5. He is lovely colours and very cute! A very wild hamster that has now been given a home!

Re: RIP Badger

I am sorry for your loss. RIP Badger.

I agree with purple_x though...it is a stupid reason to separate a hamster from its own group...if it is a bully hamster or bullied then that is more forgiveable. I hope you can find it comapny while it is still young enough to bond.
