Oh My God

major disaster averted, JUST......

So i came upstairs to feed the fluffs before going to bed, got to the top of the stairs and looked to ebony and ivory's space (2 self black syrian sisters) and to my horror...... ivory's door was WIDE open and no hamster in sight

the lounge door had been wedged open (down a flight of stairs) and moggy had been running in and out like a loon all night, the bathroom door (next to the cages) was also open, theres atleast 3 spaces a norty hamster can get into the walls in there!!!!

so i shut the bathroom door ran back downstairs, shut the lounge door, looked all over all 3 landings, ripped the bathroom to pieces, came out the bathroom on the verge of a panic attack......... and who should be sat in the middle of the landing, cheek pouches bulging....... yep IVORY

lots of hugs and kisses later, and the monster is back in her cage, with the door firmly shut and clips added

Re: Oh My God

Ahh bless. My brother hammie never did get found, they have ripped the house apart. They had painted so placed the cage in the back porch . Not realising that hammie had been chewing the clip that held the plastic door flap. When they got up on the sunday no hammie. But the back door had been open briefly as my sister in law had popped out to put something in the garden shed. Left door open. Didnt notice cage till on way back in. Also a owner of a massive american bulldog that was fixated on hammie. Think there worst fears was the dog had eaten hammie whole. Brother kept a eye on dogs stools nothing strange in pooh. so they seen to think its managed to get out garden and gone under all there decking. Searched high and low and he was never found. very upset kids and brother and sister in law. Trouble is there so small and seem to be able to disapere. shame. Poor Tony.

Re: Oh My God

Thats a hell of a feeling when you find them safe and sound isnt it, I remember finding Angel 2 days after we came back off holiday for a week when she had got out of her cage when the pet sitter didnt close it properly. I couldnt stop kissing her little head, I was so sure she was dead.
