cleaning products

hello im a bit of a eco friendly warrior so i dont use shop brought cleaners to clean out my pets but while my guinea pigs and degus dont smell my gerbils are stinking. any ideas what i can use i currently use a 50% vinegar and 50% water soultion then rinse but its not clearing any odour if im honest i think its getting worse like a gerbil wee and vinegar combo. any ideas would be great

Re: cleaning products

I make it to tooth paste consistency in a small pot or bowl & then spread it on & leave it a few minutes before washing as normal
