We have rehomed one of the four females that my son bought about 9 months ago, leaving 3. They are lovely and are used to being handled.
We have loved them and looked after them but we can't really afford the space and time that they need. Don't let your live-away son buy lots of pets and then ask to come back home again! ![]() We found that they would fight even when they were just in pairs, so they have been in individual cages for the last few months. A shame. We have black, beige and white/grey. We have some food to go with them. If you can offer them genuine loving homes then you will help both us AND them, you probably know more about them and may be able to reintroduce them or something. We can probably deliver them within a 5 mile radius of our home in Sutton, Surrey (SW London). Thanks a bunch! |

Re: 3 femail Gerbils need rehoming - no offers - what are my options
Hi Brian,
I think sometimes distance is what stops people being able to take an animal even if they want to. I think alot of members here cant drive (me being one of them!) If you weren't so far away I would have offered to take all 3 gerbils when I first saw your post. Are there any rescues near you? You would need to offer a donation if a rescue took the gerbils. Try calling some and asking if they have any space. I know furry friends is in Surrey, perhaps you could email them and see if they have the space to take the gerbils. User AnnaT on here is who you need to contact. Hope that helps a little. |

Re: 3 Lovely Gerbils need Loving Home - all female
I would recommend contacting Dorothy from Bath Gerbil Rescue as a first point of call. I'm not sure if she would have room to take them, but she may know of people who you could contact around your area. Dorothy is very knowledgeable on gerbils and would offer you good advice.
email bathgerbilrescue@yahoo.co.uk or call Dorothy on 07787724717 (I know it's ok to post the phone number here as its displayed on the website) |
