Ok I think I have gmr :( what's the cure??

Picked up 3 girls this morning now called rosie, poppy and Lyra

And in 2 weeks time I'll be picking up a blue rescue dumbo girl (any help with intros? She's the same age as them so around 12-14 weeks)

And then June/July I'm getting two more blue girls but 7-8 week old babies? Who I'm either going to join my Jenny up to the critter 2 I have so all 6 can be together or keep the 2 babies separate in a slight modded critter 2 or poss another Jenny if I can get the one I'm watching on eBay

Re: Ok I think I have gmr :( what's the cure??

Girl rats are usually easy to intro, I always do it in the same way, pop a dab of vanilla essence on each rat so they all smell similar, pop them in the bath with something smelly and messy (I use tuna), that way they pile in and smell like the tuna and they are also more interested in the tuna than the newbies. While someone watches them you can clean the cage out, make sure it doesnt smell of the original rats and take all the toys, hammocks out. If no serious fighting has happened then you can pop them in the clean cage, if things go ok for the next hour or so you can start popping hammocks and toys in. Dont be surprised it there is a little bit of boxing and power grooming, unless there is serious fighting or blood is spilled dont seperate them. If things are getting a little bit bossy Ive used a water spray before but that was when I had a cage with a lot of very hormonal boys in, girls should be fine.

Ive got 6 girls living together and they are really happy in one big group so you might be able to do that when they arrive, dont be worried about doing intros though, especially girls.
