Two female mice due any day now.

Here they are the little fatties , Im trying to improve the longhair, They are both healthy, over 12 week old, the colour of the babies will not bother me.

I shall be culling down the litter to 4-6 each with one buck left in each litter. The culled babies will be going as snake food so they wont be wasted.

Dont come here just to have a go at me because i plan on culling because i dont really care what you think about it, Its done humanely and quick so there no reason for complaints.

Here are hte two pregnant does.

Doe 1

Doe 2

The father to both litters.

Its funny people dont realise what good pets mice are and you dont see them as freely in shops as you use to. I always seem to see Gerbils and Hamsters . My first small pet was a white mousse which i called snowflake he did 3 years which i believe is very old for a mouse.

Re: Two female mice due any day now.

Its becoming rare for mice to be in small pet shops and if you do see them they normally look sickly, We found our first mouse on our back door he was a PEW no idea where he came from but he wouldnt have survived in the wild with him being white.

After him we got another from a pet shop he wasnt nice at all, then stop keeping them for about 10 years then i got my first pair of mice about 2 years ago both lived a long life, a milk chocolate longhaired and a PEW ( she was PTS because of tumours), While i had these 2 i rescued a mouse which was pregnant kept her and one of the babies gave the other ones away both mother and daughter have now died.

Now ive got about 27 + these two litters when they arrive and only 3 of them arent from breeders they are from feeder bins.

Crumbs they must keep you busy. I love the tan and black mice they are lovely. I have heard that white mice are prone to tumours as so with white rats. Is that right.

As far as im aware yes they are but breeding is being done to try and reduce the risk of it, I think its mailing the breeding of quantity rather than qualitity.

Ive got black tan ones and chocolate and tan. Lost a black and tan pregnant doe last friday tho due to the heat.

Also got 6 rats aswel.

Glad you put a reply to the other thread on the what to feed mice. Thought you would be able to help more.
Rats are very affectionate although i dont like the smell of the males im afraid. They are clever.
