Re: This cage

The Fantazia is tiny, and breaks really easily. I bought one assuming it'd be like the Imac Fantasy and it's not. It's OK for dwarfs I guess (none of the levels are high enough for a syrian wheel), Scoobie my robo used to live in it (although he could have got out if he wanted). I do have my syrian Smokey in one at the moment, but she has large external wheel and another cage attached as well.

The last cage looks to be a copy of the Cambridge, but made from someone else. My syrian Bandit lives in a Cambridge, but she has an Imac Fantasy extension.

How it is now, excuse the shavings, Bandit likes to kick them out through the bars when she goes digging:

I'll try and find my instruction thread...

Re: This cage

Hadn't thought about going through the plastic.. what a great idea.. I have been thinking about sitting another cage on the tank i have lisa on and adding tubes to it.. My only worry.. what if she climbed up the out side of the tune..

Re: This cage

Found my old post, saves retyping it.

... I use Habitrail tubes to connect my extensions. If you are good at cutting and filing you can cut the hole for the tube a touch too small and force the tube carefully through until plastic surrounding the hole clips into the groove that runs round the end of the tube. Or you cut the hole slightly too big and use Habitrail locking rings on both sides of the tube so it can't be pulled or chewed out. Habitrail tubes are available here....
I cut through the cages with a sharp kitchen knife and use a cardboard nail file to get them smooth and exactly the right shape.
