Would this toy be safe for mice?

I know this is advertised as a bird toy but it looks great for climbing.
Would it be safe for mice to climb on or not?

Re: Would this toy be safe for mice?

I think it would be great for a while, but it would start to smell pretty quickly as the wood looks untreated.

Re: Would this toy be safe for mice?

If you can find one in a charity shop those childrens wooden sorting cubes are great mouse toys.

Re: Would this toy be safe for mice?

Most wooden kids toys would be fine, if they have to be safe for the little people to chew then they will be safe for meeces.

Re: Would this toy be safe for mice?

It looks like a nice mouse toy

I agree that it would quickly smell though! Might be worth getting some Plastikote - I spray most of my wooden rat toys/perches/ledges with it. It makes surfaces waterproof. I love the stuff. Just make sure you get the enamel ones as they are child safe.

Re: Would this toy be safe for mice?

I get it on e-bay - more colour choice and usually cheaper too (Plus I don't have to get off my backside!)
