As some of you know Ive been bonding the two hairless boys (Pierce and Merlin) with the other boys and it was going ok, they have had a little bit of chasing and boxing but they are coming round and eating together and sleeping on the same level etc, I know hairless rats mark easier but I was a bit worried about the amount of scratches Merlin has on him, excuse the rubbish pics but I was trying to take pics while stopping him scarpering at the same time.

It does look a lot worse because they are bald, he is such a cutie!!!

Thanks hes got an amazing personality, always the first one running to greet me when I open the cage door and it isnt a food thing, he will climb over the food bowl to get a cuddle.

Aw how sweet!!! one of my boys is like that. I wanted a bald rat initially but I couldn't find a breeder at the time.

yeh agree looks worse cuz of the no fur.

does there skin feel like human skin?
do u have to moisturise them?

I'm Amy I have a
German shepherd-blade.
10 male rats.
2 male mice.
1 Syrian hamster.

I havent moisturised them since I started doing the intros because I dont want them smelling different to the others but they love being moisturised, their skin feels like warm suede, thats the best way I can think to describe it, they feel so lovely to hold all warm and soft.

Ok just to prove me wrong, this picture is a rat pile, the ones on the bottom are Merlin and Pierce and the one on top is Flash, now I thought it was Flash who was bullying them and it would appear they are v happy in his company so whats going on (try to ignore all the scattered food and tissue, they have tons of tissue in there because they cant have hammocks yet and Im scatter feeding atm)
