Re: what would u do?
i have been in your situation a few times, its never easy, the most recent was my little toby, he was very badly bred and at 2 years old was really showing his age, after a couple of weeks i decided it was time to let him go, but the night i made this decision, he made the choice for me, and crossed over the bridge on his own

Re: what would u do?
I know how hard it is when a pet gets ill and you know they are not quite right but you still dont know if to have them pts or leave them to go on their own.
I think if I was in your situation right now I would take hammy to the vets and have her pts. Just because you say she is not eating or cleaning herself well. x |

Re: what would u do?
Yeah I agree with the others, i would get a vets opinion if she's suffering then it would be best to get her PTS, my hammy is 14 months old and I am keeping a very close eye on her. It would kill me to do it, I've had to do it with my dogs in the past and it is awfull but you have to put the animal first..let us know how you get on hun...fingers crossed xx

Re: what would u do?
What an awful position to be in
Its hard to know whats best but your vet can advise you. If she is suffering i think its probably kindest to let her go. ![]()

Re: what would u do?
i'll take her monday and see what they say.
i've given my other syrian and queenie my pouchie some chicken dinner with potato, carrot, brocoli they've ate there's but gizmo hasn't. something she would've done before. all she's doing is sleeping. she's nice and cosy anyway and i have to keep our lounge warm cuz of our pouched rat they have to be kept at 20 degrees or above. 2 months ago she was bombing around in her ball and whizzing up and down her cage. ![]()
