Its so hard when they go downhill so fast, it sounds like she had a great life for a hamster in the short time that you have had her, you will make the right decision for her tomorrow xx

i'm just really hoping she will have passed tomorrow in her sleep so i don't have to do it for her.
but if i do we'll see what the vet has to say.

Re: what would u do?

just to let u all know i took gizmo to the vets today at 5pm.
he said that she would probably only have 2 weeks left and that she is just living off her body fat due to not eating and drinking anything.

i couldn't bear to leave her another 2 weeks and see her waste away even more,so the vet and me agreed it would be best to let her go and sleep forever in peace.

she has been buried in our garden along with my past ratties.

rest in peace my little gizmo mo mo

So sorry to hear that, it was the best thing to do considering the alternative of letting her live for another 2 weeks simply off of her body fat
RIP Gizmo...run free at the bridge!
