Tonight went well!

Me and my OH plan on attempting to handle Luna every night, only for a few minutes (of actually sitting by the cage, talking to her etc). The first night we didnt as we wanted to let her settle in, the second night we both handled her for a few seconds before she leaped off and went straight back to her wheel. The second night she ended up going back into her wooden house after a couple of minutes of us sitting with her so we didnt end up handling her then.

Tonight, after she had been awake a little while and was obviously wide awake as she was running on her wheel we went in, took the top of the cage off, had a bit of a chat with her (or too her...) then I held a peanut out for her, she attempted to take it a couple of times but didnt grip hold of it properly and I didnt want to drop it and scare her. Failing grabbing the peanut she sat down where she was and munched on a banana chip. Once she had finished with her banana chip I picked her up, she sat in my hand, looking around and sniffing for a few seconds then did the walk from one hand to another for a few seconds then darted off my hand back into her cage.

She then decided to have a look at my OH, she was standing on her back legs sniffing and looking at him. I put the peanut down, the came and got it, pouched it and went into her wooden house. I'm guessing she is storing food in there, she seems to love her peanuts!

I think its going really well with her, she's growing in confidence and doesnt get startled by us walking into the room anymore. She's shown no aggression what so ever and doesnt seem stressed at all.

I'm really pleased
