Sandy was the only gerbil who knew how to use the swinging toy from pets At Home, I bought it last year because it was also a climbing frame. I thought there was no way a gerbil would use the swing bit of it, but she did. I've got a picture of her swinging on it, it's on my broken digital camera, so once I've got a new camera, hopefully it will still be on the memory card.

R.I.P Dusky, Storm, Sandy and Ebony.

I thought I would try the camera memory card in the memory card slot in my laptop, and it worked! So I've got loads of pics of Sandy on my laptop now, one of which is the background. I've got the pics of her using her singing toy (I saw her's as she was the only gerbil that could use it) too, I will re-size the pics and put them in my albums.

The vets had rushed her up to see what they could do, but she had died. A few minutes later, they asked me to come through and I knew what they were going to say. They let me stay in the treatment room for a while (I wasn't ready to leave), they wrapped her body in tissue and gave me a box of tissues. They didn't charge for any of this or anything but I would rather had Sandy live. I really miss her.
