If I have anything to do with it she will stop At the moment it is just an offload but as soon as the mice are safe I am going to report her (I know that the house she is in doesn't allow pets either so I am VERY tempted to get in contact with her agency which will put a stop to it in that house )
HUn be very careful what you post on the forum.. Who knows who logs on??

Good point, forgot about that.
Things have taken a bit of a turn, I might (I really hope so) have convinced her to stop completely, we will see.
Still not sure on numbers yet, especially as the females could be pregnant

Right back on track, what sort of things do mice like for enrichment?
Is there anything I need to know if the females are pregnant?

Re: Mice???

Just a quick update -

I am quite chuffed tbh, I have managed to convince her to give up all the mice and give up live feeding

There is 20 in total (obviously that could change if we have pregnant females ) They will be staying here until I know for certain that no pregnant females leave here. If we have no pregnancies I have managed to find homes for all of them, apart from 3 that will be staying here

Re: Mice???

Hoorah And where are the piccies?!?!?!

As for enrichment - mice are easily amused - box, toilet roll tubes are great fun. Cut a few holes in some and it makes a box an amazing new game, you jump in, out, in, out, chase some one in, fill it, empty it... the list is endless ropes for climbing, bars for climbing, hanging dog rope toys, shower curtain hooks looped together to make a chain, wooden toys (preferably hard wood, wood like pine has phenols and a lot of mice can get respiratory infections because the phenols irritate the lungs, it's also the reason that most breeders and pet owners avoid woodshavings as bedding.) Branches are fun, climbing toys. kids toys (small doll houses, shape sorters), wheels. All mine love wheels or flying saucers or both where possible The possibilities are endless as mice just love to play and explore
