Would a rat eat/drink/lick toilet cleaner?

I can't believe I am writing this...but I let my rat boys out the cage and basically around the house cos they are so good! But there was alittle hole in the toilet cleaner which I have forgotten to put up on the window shelf

It's spilt on the floor...I don't know if he got any....he doesn't smell of any and I would have thought he would have done....so would he have avoided it? He seems OK. I am so p***ed off with myself!!!

Wouldn't really have a clue! but vermin rats will eat or maybe chew anything
least Ive bumped it for you! even if my advise aint constructive!

tbh I don't think he would be silly enough, but if he was I wouldn't have thought he would have done more than touch the tip of his tongue before he realised his mistake

Also if he had injested any you would have noticed him drooling and trying to clean himself.

Taste havea tendacy to "test" anything.

Can't say for sure he would have as rats can be unpredictable in what they do or don't decide to have a taste of, just keep an eye on him, most of these products smell pretty unappetising so hopefully he avoided it xx

Thanks hun! I was hoping if he'd put his nose in it he would have smelt of it...and he doesn't. Really hope not

Perhaps he chewed the bottle open, then got a whiff/tiny taste of it and was like "Bleurgh!" and left it? Hope he's alright

I would assume symptoms would show in a couple of hours at most. So I think you're in the clear
