That can't be helped unfortunately

if a degu is not looked after properly it happens. Unfortunately the person you got them off obviously didnt know what they were doing

The other two are very lucky to be with you and Jacob was lucky to have a few days with you

Thank you. She seemed to know what she was talking about but didnt really show it in the way she fed them. There was a huge bowl labeled 'rabbit' filled with food in there - constsntly!

I think it was proberbly the wrong food all together

Lenny & Leo were fed on hamster food and apples

and poor Lenny was the worst effected

Im glad Jacob was in a loving home before he died

he will have known a happy family xx

Thanks. Apparently he was origionaly a p@h goo. When we picked them up it was pets at home nuggets but that could have been a new development.

It could be a case of the degu over eating

which should be controlled by the owner. Unfortunately it sounds like the damage was done before you got him. But im glad that he was with you and had a lovely home for his last few days

How are the others doing? have u had confirmation from the vet that it was diabetes? xx

No but I find myself hoping it was diabetes rather than something infectious so that the others dont catch it, whatever it is. Is that wrong?
