I dont think it would do any harm either and the only reason I mentioned it was because thats what I was told. I had went out and bought a ferplast mary cage and vetbed for my girl after surgery.

Re: Lou-Lou going in for surgery

Hmm well I reckon our advice should reach a happy medium, it probably would be best for all involved if she left her overnight in a hospital cage with just her sister for company? That way she has a snugglebuddy and hopefully shouldn't have her stitches bothered too much

Re: Lou-Lou going in for surgery

Thanks for the advice guys

Due to space restrictions i cant really have both of the cages next to each other so just going to put her sister Thelma in with her. Im going away to Belgium aswell first thing tomorrow morning until sunday so I wont be there to watch over her which im worried about too, but hopefully with her sis with her she'll be fine. And my mum says she'll keep an eye on her.

I didnt want to leave her this morning at the vets, she looked all sorry for herself! I made her some porridge this morning aswell before she went in. I think she's having the op at about 12 noon so im going to call up after lunch to make sure she's ok!!

Re: Lou-Lou going in for surgery

Thats unfortunate thats your going away. I would make sure you mum keeps a close eye on her just incase she decided to take her stitches out. Let us know how she gets on.
