im owning up ive gone and rescued another hammy....i never thought my oh would give in so easily plus its extremely full in the shed ive had to get her a savic cambridge because its the only decent cage i can squeeze in ..sideways....anyway shes was in the p@h adoption section i saw her on a couple of occasions and when i went the last time she was asleep on her little savic roly wheel so i decided then that i had to have her! she was dumped in adoption because she was 'extremely aggressive'....so as my oh is a real softee it wasnt too hard to talk him round because we agreed not many people would want an aggressive hammy, so we went and collected her....and they were right she was nasty she flew at me the 1st day i went to put food in her cage...ive now had her since the 1st of october and shes not done that since, ive handled her on a couple of occasions(wearing thick gloves) and she hasnt tried to bite so i think im winning her round...i still dont trust her tho

(i just want to say sorry to TDM and Srhdufe i would have loved one of the rescues babies but seriously never thought my oh would agree to another...in saying that i dont think he would normally but this one was so pitiful and had only a slim chance of finding a caring home...hope those babies have all found loving homes now?)

thanks guys... yes she like her privacy shes moved her bed from the sputnik to behind the wheel this morning as far away from me as she can get but she does take treats through the bars and seems to be responding when she hears my voice....anyway here she is exploring the hamster room

OMG she is such a cutie, and it sounds like she is warming to you. aggressive hammies can be tamed with a lot of love and patience and it sounds like you are on the right track although sometimes feeding through the bars may make her associate things poking through her cage with food therefore biting you if you stick your finger in for what ever reason. please keep the piccies coming
