Rats and guinea pigs?
OK another question.
Every night I let my piggies out when I get in but I always put them back in cage before I let the ratty boys out. The rats are very curious about the piggies in their cage and so I was wondering has anyone allowed their rats and piggies out together? Would the rats kill them? Piggies injure rats? Both? Not worth risk? Thanks in advance to any advise!! xx

I would think there was a very high chance that the rats would kill the piggies tbh, nothing I would risk anyway.

Now this may not be true.. But when I was a child my friends mum bred and showed Rabbits.... And she had a garage full of cages! and in some cages were guinea pigs and she said she kept these in the cages to keep the rats away from her bunnies as a guinea pig will kill a Rat.. Now I dont know how true that is.. But Im sure someone will know... This info was given to me when I was about 6... Ive never forgot it so we are talking nearly 30 years ago...

I would imagine there would be a very high risk that the rats would harm your guineas
