rats can not catch human colds.
i've had rats for many yrs and none of them caught the flu or colds from me and i handled them everyday. the only issue i've had was when they occasionally had respiratory infections which cleared up with a course of baytril. get well soon niki x

OK well I learnt something too!
The only thing I heard was the breeder I got the guineas off said that suddenly at one point quite a few of her babies died. Then she realised she had a bad cold so she stopped handling them while she was ill and she didn't have another death. But guess thats just young babies! Thanks guys! Will get some chicken soup today...had cupasoup last night cos its so watery...but made me feel sick as a dog so not sure! xx

get the aninsley harriot ones,the spicy lentil,stilton and brocolli are gorge very thick and yummy!
