My OH asked me when he got in from work if I had heard about this, I hadn't and I wish he hadn't told me, I cant bring myself to read the details it is too upsetting, what a sick and disgusting thing to do !!! He should have been jailed for 9 years never mind 9 weeks !!!

This is vile. Bet he wont even serve the full nine weeks. And what happens after the 5 year ban is up? He is able to go out and purchase another pet when authorities know full well he has already killed an innocent defenseless hamster. Sickens me

OMG! poor hammie got no justice at all there.
I dont understand why people get such low sentances for this kind of thing. Even if you believe animals are just animals that is still causing severe sffering to a living creature, it makes you unfit for society.
I suppose he will get another 9 wks if he gets drunk, blacks out again and sticks his girlfriends head in a microwave!!
