**Hamster Help**

Poppy, our little Robo is acting a bit odd and looks soaking wet??? her eyes look a little bulgy (could be due to her looking wet??) she is up, not like her, giving it some on her wheel then been in her bedding area and scratching away at it. Normally when we apprach the cage she runs and hides but she is running towards me and climbing up the sides as if to get to me.. really odd behaviour for her.. any ideas? is she ok??

Re: **Hamster Help**

Is it everywhere or could it just be the scent glands?

Have you used oil/lubrication on te wheel recently?

Apparently sometimes they can shower themselves under the water bottle.

Those were ideas that i have just seen on another forum after googling your problem.

Could it be sweat...is it hotter in the room today? It is certainly hotter in the north today!

Sorry if this is no use! xx

Water bottle would probably cause the wet look, the eyes bulging and restlessness as nooone wants to go to bed when wet.

Hope it is. Obviously you have to keep an eye on her...worst case scenario is wet tail, though think she would be more listless then. Good luck and let me know how she gets on!! xx

I've given her cage a deep clean, she is now sleeping under the sawdust rather than in her bed so maybe it's a bit warm for her
