Cage for Guinea Pigs

Can anyone recommend a good cage for 2 Guinea Pigs, What is the optimum size (is it the same as for rabbits??), preferably one with an attached run

Was just looking at this site but wasn't sure if the 4ft one would be big enough

Apex Sykes Rabbit Hutch & Run Combo - Happy Hutch Company

It's not for me, i just want to give someone i know some advice as they mentioned they may get a couple of guineas

Thanks hun, you know what its like. I want to make sure they have decent housing but i have never had any so am not sure myself. If i tell my sister what she needs to have she will listen and get them what they need but if i say nothing she will just buy what the petshop sell her

Re: Cage for Guinea Pigs

Hi, I have two Guinea Pigs and they use this cage
Rabbit 120 Guinea Pig and Dwarf Rabbit Cage by Ferplast | Pets at Home
It is a really good sized cage and easy to clean.

Re: Cage for Guinea Pigs

Hi, I had got two Guinea pigs last week and bought them this cage
Rabbit 120 Guinea Pig and Dwarf Rabbit Cage by Ferplast | Pets at Home
They love the hidey-hole part and there is plenty of room and very easy to clean
Hope this helps

Re: Cage for Guinea Pigs

When mine were in pairs they were in a 140cm cage. Can't remember the width of it. C&C cages are the best really because you can do what you like to them!

For outdoors I'm not really sure because personally I'd never keep an animal outdoors. I don't imagine a pet shop would sell one big enough she would be better looking on ebay or a local compant that makes hutches.

Thats my opinion which is why i want to recommend something in advance

Sorry what is C&C ?? Like i said i have no idea as i dont keep small furries except the Hamster but just hate the thought of them being inadequately housed.

I like the idea of a small hutch within a larger playhouse with an exterior run though if it was properly converted any thoughts on that as a setup ??

C&C's are the cages that mumof6 posted a link to.

You could have a small playhouse with a 2 or 3 story C&C cage in it. I'd just be worried about mine chewing out of it
