Meet Sammy and Taz. Sammy is actually a boy and Taz is a girl.
We were never supposed to actually have 2 geckos but this is how we did:
I had been saving up my money for months because my mom agreed I can get a reptile if I saved up for one. I was looking for an iguana at first and was extremely determined for one...Than I decided with the money I had that I wouldnt be able to afford the big tank it would need so I set my mind on a bearded dragon. While driving to the reptile store I noticed a small run-down petstore with a big sign saying "PUPPIES, KITTENS, SNAKES, BIRDS, ETC...SALE" So my first instinct was to go see there. Once I walked in I seen all these animals in poor condition and in small tanks and cages when I came across a gecko in a small ice-cream container. His tail was thin and he was full of stuck shedding because of the temperatures and because he was so dehydrated. Next thing I knew was I had him in my hands in the car bringing the poor guy home. We named him Sammy. All that night I kept thinking of his brother who was in the container next to him and how I should of took them both, so the next day I convinced my mom to go and get him for my brother. We named him Star. He was in a worse state than Sammy and his bones showed right through. He had no coloration and was completely gray. We fed him and nourished him but he didnt eat nor drink. We fed him with a syringe until the day came where he couldnt move his legs or arms...We got in the car and rushed to the vet but they said nothing was left to do but they recommended a specialist for us. As we were driving there Star died.
My brother was so devastated we had to get him Taz.
Sammy and Taz are now both healthy and happy. They live in exoterra tanks that are moisted every day and they both shed well. They eat lots of crickets and have clean water at all times. Even tough they arent active much during the day I love them both so much
Anyways, Sammy and Taz are both 1 year old leopard geckos and they eat tons of crickets! Its funny watching them trying to snap at the crickets and watching them go crazy trying to catch them. They are both adorable and its incredible how Taz has gotten too!
Anyways I dont know what to say so...PICTURE TIME!
