My little Banshee (aka Mia)

Born March 10th 2008 Banshee was a little black girl from the first litter I ever bred (albeit unintentional). Her mummy Ducattie was a brilliant mum, and her daddy Gizmo thankfully didn't pass on his heart problem (that we didn't know about at the time) and seemed maybe a little scared of his brood of 6 kids!
She could sniff out Whiskas kitten milk at 20 paces and howled and howled (hence her name, I had to name them all even if I wasn't keeping them all). When I would put the bowled down she dived straight in, the amount of times I had to give her a mini bath becuase she was all stuck up! She loved her picture being taken too, little poser.
Originally she was meant to go to someone I work with but she couldn't take her in the end so went to a friend along with her brother named Gadget (now Mylo).
In her short life she had suffered an eye infection which her new owners paid a good few hundred pounds to fix.
On Wednesday 4th November my boyfriend told me the horrible news that Banshee had died. As it eventually turned out, she had not returned home on Thursday 29th October which was very unlike her. On Sunday 1st November, her owner found her next to a wall by her home, she had dragged herself home as far as she possibly could. Taken straight to the vets it was concluded she had a broken leg, and a 'broken' tail. Both of which could be fixed and her owner was willing to spend the excessive money to do it. However, and so horribly unfortunate, when her tail 'broke' it went the 'wrong' way and damaged her bladder nerves and when tested she simply couldn't hold anything in and at only 1 year 8 months it would have been a long life of distressing accidents. In the end it was decided it would be best to put her to sleep.
On Tuesday 3rd with her owners there she passed away purring happily.
Although many don't understand, I raised her from born to about 10 weeks and the way she went on made her so memorable to me.
Run free Banshee, protect your brothers and sisters, I know Mylo misses you. Keep Poppy's baby who never got chance to live company too.
Love from mummy xx

Re: My little Banshee (aka Mia)

Thats so sad ((hugs)) I had 3 litters from my 2 cats and I loved each of them like they were my own-I rehomed all but 1 that I kept and even now nearly 5 yrs on I still think of them and would be devastated to hear of their passing.

Sleep tight little Mia xxxx
