The Loss Of Darcy

As some are aware a few weeks ago after a very short illness we had to have our fantastic show boy Darcy P.T.S. he started to loose some fur off his ears and paws so the vetsgave him some long term antibiotics , this didnt help so then they did a skin scrape which came back negative, they then decided a blood test was needed which also came back negative, in the mean time he started to act very strange as if he didn't know us, , cutting a long story short the vets told us he had something called Penphigus auto immune desease which would be treated by steroids for the rest of his life but after a few more days he had deteriorated so far that he couldnt walk properly , he wouldnt eat or drink and his eyes were just glassy and he had a stare, we took him back to the vets and by this time he was really unwell and the vet told us that this desease had effected him nuerologically and the kindest thisng to do was to let him go, This young lad achieved so much in such a short time on the show bench, gaining his PR title before 11 months of age and going on to win his first Grand cert at last years supreme show, im still very new to the world of ragdolls but to us he was perfection in every possible way, he will never be forgotten and is missed every hour of every day, W e love you Darcy, rest in peace.....Chris & sue

Darcy.... Sept 07 to April 09

Re: The Loss Of Darcy

A close friend of mine sent me this when Church died, i found it very true xx
I Am Always With Them
And God asked the feline spirit,
"Are you ready to come home?"
"Oh, yes, quite so," replied the precious soul,
"And, as a cat, you know I am most able to decide anything for myself."
"Are you coming then?" asked God.
"Soon," replied the whiskered angel,
"But I must come slowly, for my human friends are troubled
For, you see, they need me, quite certainly."
"But don't they understand?" asked God, "That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed? It just is....forever and ever and ever."
"Eventually they will understand," replied the glorious cat,
"For I will whisper into their hearts that I am always with them,
I just am....forever and ever and ever."
